Talking to your kids about sex can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. At The Walk of Life Counseling Center, we believe that open, honest, and age-appropriate conversations about sexuality are essential to raising confident, informed, and emotionally healthy children. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Talk More to offer TWO free workshops for parents on "Navigating Family Communication about Sexuality."
Lauren Barineau, founder of Talk More explains, "Because sexuality goes far beyond sex — and includes the important concepts of boundaries, consent, love, communication skills, self-esteem, and families — you can start these discussions early."
Join us as we provide practical tips, expert guidance, and a safe space to ask questions—so you can approach these discussions with ease and help your child develop a healthy understanding of their body, relationships, and boundaries.
To ensure these conversations are developmentally appropriate, we are hosting two separate workshops:
💜
For Parents of Younger Children (Ages 0-8)
Learn how to lay the foundation for open, shame-free communication about bodies, consent, and relationships in ways that feel natural and supportive.
💜
For Parents of Older Children & Teens (Ages 9-17)
Gain tools to navigate more complex conversations about puberty, relationships, online influences, and decision-making with clarity and confidence.
Both workshops are completely **FREE and held virtually!
✨ Registration is required to attend. You’re welcome to sign up for one or both sessions!
We look forward to supporting you in building healthy, open lines of communication with your child—because these conversations matter.
