Book a Session with Vanessa

Hi, I'm Vanessa M.

My decision to become a therapist has always felt like a calling, deeply influenced by my own experiences navigating life's challenges. It is my desire to help others mindfully traverse and progress on their personal paths by offering the kind of support that so greatly improved my own life.

As a master’s level graduate student, in the Master of Family Therapy program, at Mercer University, my area of focus is in addressing anxiety, depression, and relational issues with individuals and couples. My approach is grounded in the belief that change is not only possible but an inevitable part of the human experience. I view transformation as a lifelong process, and my goal is to support my clients in ways that are most meaningful to them. By utilizing solution-focused strategies, I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical solutions that resonate with their unique circumstances and aspirations.

As a therapist, I prioritize creating an open and non-judgmental environment. I believe that every person and couple has the potential for growth and evolution, and my role is to empower you throughout the process. Together, we will explore your strengths, set achievable goals, and celebrate each step forward, all while keeping our focus on what matters most to you. By combining empathy with a proactive, client-centered mindset, I strive to facilitate meaningful progress while guiding you towards achieving a more balanced and fulfilling life.

You may feel restless, going through several rabbit holes of intrusive thoughts and worry, constant fears, and overwhelm. On the other hand, you may be feeling stuck, numb, disconnected from others, and uninterested in things you used to enjoy. As a therapist dedicated to fostering growth and evolution, I focus on creating an open and non-judgmental environment for clients dealing with anxiety and depression. I believe in empowering you through the therapeutic process by exploring your strengths, setting achievable goals, and celebrating each step forward. With a client-centered approach that combines empathy and proactive strategies, I am committed to guiding you toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. Together, we will navigate the challenges of anxiety and depression, always keeping our focus on what matters most to you and facilitating meaningful progress.

Relationship Issues

In addressing couples’ issues, my approach is rooted in the belief that change is both possible and a natural part of the human experience. I view transformation as a lifelong journey and am dedicated to supporting you in ways that are most meaningful to your relationship. By employing solution-focused strategies, I work collaboratively with couples to identify and develop practical solutions tailored to your unique circumstances and goals.
